Spring Break & Travel Vaccines

Happy Spring Break season, Tracker Gang!

I hope you all are ready for a nice and relaxing spring break wherever you go. Before you go, let's talk about something super important: staying healthy and safe during travels! Just like I need my vaccines to stay healthy, all of you humans do too. It is extra important when you are traveling internationally.

Here is a list of possible vaccines that you may need to get for the first time or boosters before you travel.

·       COVID-19

·       Chickenpox

·       Cholera

·       Flu (Influenza)

·       Hepatitis A

·       Hepatitis B

·       Japanese encephalitis

·       Meningococcal

·       Pneumococcal

·       Polio

·       Rabies

·       Shingles

·       Typhoid

·       Yellow fever

Depending on where you are traveling, you may need specific vaccines. This is something that you and your healthcare provider can talk about!

Vaccines are one way to keep us safe. It's also important that we wash our paws and stay clean during our travels. Make sure you wash your paws with soap and water and keep your distance from people showing signs of sickness.

Pay attention as you are on break to any health advisories so you can protect yourself! And finally, once you get back from your adventures, monitor your health. If you notice any symptoms like fever, rash or cough, contact your health care provider and let them know about your travels!

Stay safe out there Tracker Gang and have so much fun!
