School Immunization Rates

Want to learn more about immunization coverage in your community?

Educators, parents, and caregivers can learn more about vaccination coverage in their child’s school or by the county or ZIP code in which their child attends school by exploring data dashboards and fact sheets created by ImmunizeVA using the immunization and exemption data that is annually reported to the Virginia Department of Health.

Are you a School Nurse, or do you work alongside School Nurses?

Join ImmunizeVA's K-12 Vaccination Learning Collaborative. We welcome School Nurses, Immunization Action Planners and Public Health Nurses to join us quarterly to discuss improving vaccination rates for all Virginian children.

New Resource: HPV Toolkit for School and Public Health Nurses

The goals of this initiative are to:

  • Prepare school and public health nurses to increase HPV vaccination rates among students entering the 7th grade.

  • Promote HPV vaccination for kids ages 9 to 12.

This initiative aims to educate and raise awareness about the HPV vaccine and its role in cancer prevention. As a school or public health nurse, we ask that you engage parents and guardians about the HPV vaccine as often as you can.

When you educate others about the HPV vaccineyou can help protect more children from developing cancers caused by HPV in their future.
