Dog Days of Summer
Today I learned a new saying! The end of the summer is sometimes called the dog days of summer. It means the hottest time of the year when you feel too tired to do anything but relax. This doesn’t seem right to me because us dogs know the best thing to do on a hot day… go swimming!
Since the summer is coming to an end and it’s getting too hot to do much more than play in the sprinkler, I decided to make a summer bucket list!
It has all my favorite things on it like playing frisbee with my friends, finishing my summer books, and going to get ice cream!
My mom says I also need to finish my back-to-school checklist like buying school supplies and new clothes- good thing I already went to my wellness visit with my pediatrician last week. She made sure I was up-to-date with all my Virginia school required vaccines.
I used to not like going to the doctor, but last time they gave me a sparkly sticker after my visit, so I’m hoping they do that again. I want the purple one this time because that’s my favorite color!
