Children and Adolescents 

From birth to age 18, there are vaccines that can prevent your child from getting 16 serious illnesses. Virginia follows the Center for Disease Control (CDC) vaccination schedules, which recommend vaccines at various points throughout childhood and adolescence. Many vaccines require multiple doses.
